About the Author

A native of Meridian, MS, Ginny Walker Shurlds earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi State University, a Master of Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, and a Master’s- Plus-30 designation through the University of New Orleans. She taught elementary, gifted, and visual art in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools, LA for twenty-six years. Ms. Shurlds lives in Bay St. Louis, MS with her husband, Henry, also a Mississippi State University graduate. Besides creating art, writing, reading, and music, she enjoys time spent with family.
